Re: Vulvodynia??.so afraid 7weeks post-op

Tell your doc what you are telling us. That may help them to treat you correctly. If they don't help you, find another doctor. I have heard of vulvodynia and I am pretty sure that the gyn should have some answers as to treatment. I had actually looked it up because I was having such pains. Turns out it isn't the vagina but radiating pain from my bladder. I hope the doc helps you tomorrow and if not, find someone else for another opinion. Sending best wishes.

Re: Vulvodynia??.so afraid 7weeks post-op

I hope you find out what it is, the only time I ever had burning there was for urinary track infections or yeast infections. Did they do any tests on you?

Re: Vulvodynia??.so afraid 7weeks post-op

there was a woman on here who had a very similar issue. look up the thread "vaginal cuff healing issues" and see if you can relate to it. she said what her doctor was doing for her to help her with that burning. read the whole thread tho. i hope this helps.

Re: Vulvodynia??.so afraid 7weeks post-op

Thank you everyone for your support. I am in such bad pain. I can barely sit down now to write this post . I will not walk out of the Dr's office at least with an answer,he just make me feel like I am the only one struggling after this surgery. I don't know what's wrong with my body's reaction. I wish I could find me a good Gyn. Thank you ladies.

Re: Vulvodynia??.so afraid 7weeks post-op

I actually had vulvodynia (or something very similar)...it was pre-hyst. Nothing worked; I tried things for over a year, and I ended up having to have surgery for it. Since the surgery, thank my Heavenly Father, I have been fine. For sure, talk to your doctor again! I wish you the best.
