Outercourse???

At what point in the healing process did each of you try outercourse? Were there any issues afterwards? (Of course I am going to be cleared from the doctor before proceeding but want to see what everyone elses experience has been).

My husband and I tried this around week 3 and everything was fine!! I will warn you of one thing, at one point we almost couldn't control ourselves and had to stop lol! Make sure you and your partner are in total control and that you don't do anything that may compromise your recovery! I waited until my six week check up and was cleared for sex. And I have to say I think it's better than before!! Best of luck to you! And take care! 😊

I would LOVE to try outercourse but when I asked at my 2 week checkup my GYN said no . Im asking again at my 4 week appt.

What was the reasoning for your dr saying no?

I asked at my 3 week checkup cause my hormones were CRAZY lol. I was embarrassed to ask the dr so I asked the nurse and she said it was fine. Orgasms are fine, clitoral stimulation is fine. No fingers inside, no oral (bacteria/germ issue). Like someone already said, make sure you dont cave lol. Stay in control because it is tough to deal with the buildup and not go all the way. But man oh man...the orgasm was unreal!! We did have sex last week after my 6 week checkup and it was painful. I am hoping it gets better. I still felt like I was bruised all over inside.

It's mainly because some doctors require that you have pelvic rest and because the contractions of the orgasms interfere in the healing process.

I had my 2 week appt at the end of last week, and doc still won't clear me for outercourse. He wants total pelvic floor rest. It is very difficult, but I am doing it. I don't want to mess up healing process.
