5 days before the big day

Well my time is running down and my dreams seem to get crazier every night I've had a dream about a old school mate stabbing and killing me. I'm 42 I've been out of school forever and I hadn't seen this person for 20+ years. Last night I just keep dreaming about blood. It was every where. What the hell is wrong with me? Today is the day that I'm riding the crazy train!!!! LOL Then on top of that my fingers are swollen my feet are swollen I feel like the Pillsbury Dough Boy!!!! What is going on with me???

Re: 5 days before the big day

My heart goes out to you. My date is 8 days away and I am having freaky dreams as well. I think it is just because we have fears, our fears come out in our dreams. This is very normal and you will be fine. Try to change your routine before bedtime. Read a book, something come and peaceful - nothing violent. I hope you have sweet dreams. Try not to worry and we will be out of surgery and home recovering in no time!

Re: 5 days before the big day

I am sorry you are both having bad and crazy dreams. I also think that it is stress related. This is a stressful time leading up to surgery, especially THIS surgery.

I found some increased exercise helped me to de-stress as best possible, considering the situation. I also did it because I knew I would not be able to exercise as much for a while after surgery.

Good luck to you both...
