I Made It And Im Home!!!!!!!

Just a quick hello to all my friends! I made it threw surgery and came home yesterday afternoon! Waiting is the hardest part but once they give you that happy shot its all good! Surgery went well and the stay at the castel was great, the nurses there were wonderful and very helpful, I found that if you use alot of please and thank yous they really give you alot of extra attion!! it pays to be nice, sitting is the hardest part for me, laying down is the best way to go right now! Im a big baby when it comes to pain so for me, it hurts alot all the time!!! althow it is odd, I do feel better!!! Just wanted to let you all know im ok, im back, and thank you again to all for all the great suport, could not have made it with out this site, good luck to all my friends in waiting, I can say, it was worth the waite!! on my way now to a better pain free life!!!!!! I'm glad everything went well for you. Remember to drink lots of water and juice, rest alot, and take little walks.

Try to take your pain meds on schedule...it's much easier to keep ahead of the pain than it is to play catch-up. It will get better...unlike the pain you had before, this is temporary!!!!!

Be a good princess, and we'll be here when you're feeling up to posting!!!

Congratulations on your new crown. . Not long for me now. And I can't wait... I have been having trouble sleeping. 9 days and counting now, if I survive. I was just informed today that my leave will be UNPAID... So now I have one more thing to deal with. It's just my luck. I was in tears all day.... Well enough about me. I can't wait to hear your story.... Welcome home sister...

I'm sure you'll do everything the dr ordered. Take good care of yourself and know that we are all rooting for your recovery.
I'm 8 days pre-op and extremely nervous, so hearing that all went well gives me courage.

Congratulations! So glad to hear you are home and doing well.

As Karen said, keep taking your pain medication. You don't have to be a hero right now. Also, sitting too long at the computer is a no-no for awhile ... so only make short visits here at hystersisters for the next few days. When I was 4 days post-op I spent an hour on the computer and DH just about killed me ... I was looking a little green!
