hello, had T.A.H october 2004, i now feel like an alien and dont know my own body anymore, they took everything away and left me with this empty shell. i really need to talk to someone who shares my pain.

elefant, I hope you can find what you need on this site. There are some other boards where you might find the support you need. I'm bumping your message up hoping someone will know what to suggest.

thanks, i just fell so fed up and dont feel like anyone really understands me anymore, my partner says that i have totaly changed since the op

I, too, still feel as if no one really understands. My dx also included uterine cancer which also feels like a very lonesome journey. You feel weak, and wonder if you'll ever feel "yourself" again - and you're missing part of you - no matter how bothersome that part was. My one sister, who is also confronting cancer (much more serious than mine) characterizes her state as "an emotional roller-coaster" and I can understand that, too. I am finding that my moods are more intense than normal, and when I talked to my case Physicians Assistant about this, she said that's pretty normal after major surgery. Rest, rest, rest, and don't hesitate to talk to others, here and in your circles of family and friends.
