one month to go and bleeding bad
I don't know what to do. Aunt Flow is visiting and very heavy. I can't move with out flooding and being in severe pain. I have surgery Aug 10. I am almost to the point of going to the ER if I don't stop soon. I can handle the bleeding it's the pain that is getting to me. My poor family walk on eggshells around me because they never no what to expect with my mood swings. I have tried taking all different PMS pills but they don't help. My belly is swollen, I look like I'm 5 months pregnant. After 2 years of this I should be use to this, but the pain and bleeding are getting worse. Does anyone know of a good pain reliever? I've tried advil, tylenol, and excedrian and haven't found relief.

I'm sorry that you're in such pain.
I agree that you should seek help if it doesn't ease up.
Best wishes.

one month to go and bleeding bad
I had those same periods before my hysterectomy and what worked for me was 3 liquid Advil gel tabs, not only did they helped with pain they also helped slow down a heavy flow !

one month to go and bleeding bad
I have/had the same issue. I have been bleeding on and off for almost a month now. My hyster is now in 6 days. My doctor put me on birth control pills 2x a day and that has all but stopped the flow. Advil (4 of them) did help with the cramping and slowed things down but as soon as it wore off it would start over again. I would seriously call your GYN and ask them for alternatives. You will also want to get your hemoglobin drawn because chances are you are anemic too.
My hemoglobin was 9.5 when I was bleeding so heavy. I am on chromagen and it is now 10.8 after 2.5 weeks.
Please get some help so that they don't have to do an emergency hyster.

How about...
You can try alieve, I usuallly take 4 and it takes the edge off when I am having that type of pain. But I agree with CAve creek: I would call your Dr and let them know what is going on so hopefully they can put you on something to stop the bleeding as said before you don't want to be anemic.
I hope you get relieft soon. Take care
Stephanie
