I made it!!

Yesterday was my hysterectomy. Everything went good and the Dr said it was up to me if I wanted to go home or stay the night. I had a hard time with nausea and was white as a ghost when I woke up. Tried to get up and walk but was not ready, tried again a couple hours later and made it through a lap in the hall and got the catheter taken out. Still wasn't feeling great so I stayed in bed a couple hours and drank lots of water. When I woke up around 830pm I felt great had some color back and was able to pee and decided to go for a walk so about 1130 pm I was discharged yay!! I spent the night going to the bathroom about every hour lots of fluids in me, pain is there but manageable and no menopause symptoms yet. I hope everyone is having a good new year! And I appreciate this site is been great having people that understand.

Great News! Take your time to heal, and rest when your body tells you! It's awesome that you felt better that day! I did that afternoon around 3 pm and slept off and on and walked between my frequent potty breaks. Wish you the best!

Welcome to the other side! Remember to listen to your body. If it hurts, don't do it. Take it easy. Here's to hoping you have an uneventful recovery!

Re: I made it!!

Congrats, glad all is well! I remember getting up to go to the bathroom every 20 minutes that first night, so annoying, but at least I got a lot of practice getting in and out of bed!
