Problems 6 months post op (long)

I had my abdominal hysterectomy Oct 20, 2011. They were suppose to take everything but my cervix. Surgery took 3 1/2 hrs, due to excessive scar tissue. Started HRT the following week. Then Nov 29, 2011, started with right side abdominal pain. Contacted my ob, he stated its probably a uti, gave me Flagyl & percocet. I ended up going to er. They did blood work & CT scan. It showed that I has a 6 cm right ovarian cyst. I then advised them I had a total hysterectomy the following month, they proceeded with an abdominal & transvaginal u/s, which confirmed cyst. I contact the assistant surgeon (mine was on vacation!) He kept assuring me it was just fluid. Dec 5 my regular ob did confirm the findings & apologized. Well now I have been having pain for 4 days now, called my ob (on vacation again!) assistant surgeon ordered a u/s. They never called me back with the results. I am at a loss. I has this surgery to end all of the pain, recurrent cysts etc. Still back @ square 1.

Wow, my heart goes out to you. You have been through a lot. They didn't remove your ovaries, I take it? Or is it from surgical trauma from having the ovaries removed?

They were suppose to take both ovaries. For some reason they didnt see the right one. There were 3 surgeons in there. How could they miss it? Now they are just making excuses for my pain from right ovarian cyst.

I'm so sorry you're going through this. You would think if they couldn't see it they would have looked for it. Between the 3 of them, you would think one of them would have said, we only removed 1 ovary. I hope you get sone answers and they fix this for you soon. My heart goes out to you.
