Swelly belly hip pain?

This is making me crazy. It has happened several times now.

I get the swelly belly thing going on evenings that i've really overdone it during the day. The hip pain has been going on since surgery, but just a little uncomfortable. On the evenings the swelly belly thing is happening I also have terrible pain in my left hip and down my thigh. This is the only thing I have taken pain RX's for for several weeks. My thigh and my calf have a little tingle and cramping when the hip pain is bad.

I had the epidural in for 4 days for pain relief following TAH and messy adhesion surgery. The epidural was a great idea, but the problem was that it only worked to numb the left side of the abdomen and the left thigh was completely numb. So numb I couldn't stand. I kept telling the nurses about the pain on the right side of my abdomen. The next day someone finally checked and discovered that my left leg really was completely numb and the right abdomen wasn't.

I don't know if the epidural has anything to do with the hip pain i'm having now. I also have as very sore spot where the epidural was in my back.

This has is is gone on for weeks now, I need HELP. Anybody had similar problems? I need some ideas about what to do.

Laura, I'd give the doctor a call and go in for a check up. I didn't have anything like you are experiencing, but it doesn't sound quite right to me. Make sure and tell the doctor everything that's going on.
Please let us know what you find out.
