2 weeks to wait...

I am scheduled for my LAVH on September 4th and wouldnt you know my sinus' and ears are plugging up today. Usually I can keep them from getting to full blown infections by using decongestants and Zicam. But with only 14 days till my surgery I am worried. Should I call my Dr. and tell him or just ride it out and hope that I beat it before the day of surgery?
I have argued with my Dr. for over a year to get this done, and now that the time has come I dont want him to find a reason to reschedule it... AAAHHH!!!

That happened to me before I had my lap in Dec and I told my reg, doc that I thought that I had a sinus infection and that I was having surgery in 2 weeks and he immediately put me on antibiotics to cure it and said that if I was sick they wouldn't do my surgery.I hope you get some relief.I would call before you take o.t.c. meds.

I would suggest notifying your doctor. Antibiotics shouldn't interfere with surgery. i know for me it was ok.

Thanks to the decongestants and the Zicam things have cleared up. I do my pre-op Wednesday and I will let my Dr. know I had the sniffles but since I am still 11 days till surgery I dont think it will be a problem.
