Muscle strain 2 weeks post-hysterectomy?

So I haven't done anything that felt like "too much" on the spot, but yesterday without thinking I picked up my cat who is about 9 pounds and today I have burning pain intermittently on the inside of my abdomen on the left. I guess the reason I notice is that I had a lot of burning on the right side but I also had a very badly damaged ovary removed there (and the doctor said that side would hurt a lot worse) but I never had much pain on the left side other than normal tingling and weirdness around the incision itself. This is deeper in. I don't see anything going on just that burning in there.

I have my post-op surgeon appt on Tuesday. Did I mess myself up bad here? I keep reading things on the site and I feel like the majority of my ailments are in the range of "normal" but this has me scared. I also get weird times when I feel like my hip moves oddly and then I can't straighten my right leg without it hurting badly--like a pinched nerve--but I found a thread here that said even that is normal from all the lack of activity.

Just worried in general I guess...but then I'm only at 2 weeks today so maybe this is all par for the course.

Re: Muscle strain 2 weeks post-hysterectomy?

I would try resting, maybe try icing the area or put heat on it and see if that helps a little. Icing always seemed to work for me. During me recovery my right side hurt a little more than my left. I think it was because my doctor did a little more work on that side. I think what you are feeling is normal, but it the pain increases or any other symptoms arise, I would call the doctor.

I hope that you feel better
