Sex Drive!

I know this question has probally been asked a billion times, but I've never seen one addressing the actual "drive" question.

I mean after all the healing will I actually get the "want to" back? I haven't had it in years and I'm not even sure what the "want to" will feel like!!

My dh is finally starting to talk about my surgery and this was one of his questions today.

Thanks!

Sex Drive!

Hello,
If you are constantly worried about becoming pregnant, unexpected bleeding, or pain during or after sex I can see why you would lose your desire for it. Also, you may want to have your hormone levels checked.

I've enjoyed sex so much more since my surgery. No more pain, bleeding, worry about becoming pregnant. Feel better physically and mentally.

I'm on the estrogen patch since immediately out of surgery and tolerating it well. My drive was good before the surgery, for some reason right after surgery it went into high gear. They say the biggest sex organ is the brain - maybe getting rid of all those nagging fears and concerns was a major libido booster.

If I were you, talk to your doctor let him know that your desire is low, there are so many options you can try to help your libido.
Wishing you well.

Sex Drive!

Hi Angel
Like (((Alrunes))) said, alot of that will depend on how your drive is now, and why.

Are you having your ovaries removed? If so, then there is the possiblity of hormone replacement, and that may help.

I know that for me, my sex drive right now is NIL (poor dh :lol), but that is only due to the fact that I am in constant pain. Sex for me is physically painful, so that would explain not wanting to do it. I can only hope that after my recovery is through, then I will no longer be in pain, and the sex drive should recover as well. At least me and dh hope so

If the issue is your libido in general, then please speak to your doctor. There are things that can be done for women to help increase your desire.

Hugs
Tam

Sex Drive!

I got my sex drive back after a cyst and LOR 3 years ago. It came out of no where and I had forgotten what it felt like to have a sex drive again. It had been gone for 10 years. I tell ya, my DR looked good, my postal carrier was now a hunk to me, the lawn boy was hot, hot hot!! Woo Hoo!
