back from the castle

surgery went well on 12/28, in fact I got a buy one get one free, it seems ventral hernia repairs were on sale that day as well. It seens the cruise ship operator discovered not only uterine csncer but ovarian as well, a rare kind at that called glycoloasa. They tell me that with the blood tests they sent in surgery, and the body cavity washings, that the surgery appears to have been 'the cure' we are waiting on node dissections to come back but he tells us that they all looked fine as well. I walked a bit the night of suegery, sat in chair 45 minutes then put myself back to bed. I had BAD hot flashes and I don't mean like the ones I had PRE op. this was like taking me out of the washer wet. They gave me a shot of depo provera and last night I didnt even have one! They say once it works through the three months, I won't need further treatment for those they will be done by then as well. I am a little sore, vertical staples are a bit itchy, the metal stays on the abdominal binder are making me crazy tho. Post op gas x strips for everyone, with tordol, pca reglan and pepcid and everything was moving and in good order when i left hospital on mondai morning!

I am happy you are in such good spirits. I will be praying that your nodes come back clean and no further treatment is needed. Hope your hormons get in check soon, it can be quite the pain in the butt!
