8 monthers --tired??

Well, it has been 8 months. Going on 9. My question to you is are any of you tired? Since school started and I am having to get up and be on a schedule for my kids, I am so tired I have to take a nap in the afternoon. Is anyone else like this? It could be getting used to the new schedule, but I am worn out.

Thanks for your input!
Jamie

8 monthers --tired??

I don't have a problem with being tired, at 7 months, but I still have a tender and swelly belly. I have been going to a gym and doing weight machines 3x / week since May, and I do know it helps my energy level temendously. Dh can guess after a few minutes of being with me: "you've been to the gym today, haven't you?"

If you do join a gym, go slowly and don't let anyone push you to do more than you're ready for. (I tell this to people who have not had surgery, too!) Select a weight that feels challenging, and no more. Gradually, if you go regularly, that weight won't feel challenging anymore, and you are ready to increase to the next weight. Also, if you go regularly, you will soon *want* to go to the gym (I can't believe *I* am saying this!) because you love the way it makes you feel. I also am noticing subtle changes in the way I look. (My husband also swears the "Butt Blaster" is working!)

Good luck, and I wonder if you should see your Dr, especially to rule out Lyme Disease?

8 monthers --tired??

I dont think it is that uncommon to be tired at 8 months. Hell, I was tired at 12 and at 13. It wasnt until about 14 months that I noticed my energy level returning a bit more. Its either been a long time or its the testosterone kicking in.
Good luck

8 monthers --tired??

Hi Snickers

Thanks for responding to MarieR, I am eight months post op. and I still get very tired and I still have some tenderness in my tummy. I try not to worry but I the back of my mind I do worry. Now I know that it is not uncommon to be tired at 8 months I will be a little less worried. As far as possible I try to exercise at least three times per week but for me, after I've done my exercise ( which is mainly walking over the hills) I am just so tired all I want to do is crash in my bed. However I try my best to stay positive becuase looking back I can see the improvement in my health since my surgery.

Thanks to all who post on this site, it is main source for information.
