Weird Dreams?!

I get really strange dreams too, but I know its mostly from the vicodine. I have taken it in the past for dental surguries and it has always caused bizzaire dreams. I find that if I dont take the med too close to sleep time the dreams dont happen as frequently.

I suspected the drugs bc. they were one difference I could pinpoint. Let's not all forget that our bodies have just been through a big deal & it is going to have an effect on our minds. When I have a particularly bad dream, I try to imagine a more positive outcome. Before I go back to sleep, I lay in bed & think about the dream. I "act out" a better ending.
For example:
Last week, I had a dream that I was back in Washington, DC, where I used to live. I was dressed in a softball outfit & was going to play a game. (I have never been a part of an organized softball team!) I walked past a Catholic nun and an older woman who were walking with a little girl. "Look at that evil woman," the nun said. "She's wearing men's clothing." The old woman starting chasing me AND caught me. She came up behind me & spun me around and held me by both arms. I woke up screaming.
When I went back to sleep. I imagined myself in the same situation. But instead of calling me an evil woman, the nun said, "Look, that woman is going to play softball." When the old woman caught up with me, I imagined she said, "Good luck!"

Oh joy. I have weird dreams now. What will I be like after surgery.

I too write my dreams down. I then try to work out what they might mean. Sometimes they are a reflection of how I am feeling at the time. Sometimes they are just too weird for me to understand.
