9 weeks out -- can I...

I am nine weeks out, have had a fever and recurring infections since surgery (LONG, LONG STORY... I will spare you!)... Still on 2 antibiotics and now diflucan too. I eat yogurt daily. But still got yeast beast.

At 9 weeks, can I do vaginal yeast cream? I am cleared for everything (sex included) but haven't tried that yet, cause I am still so sick.

What do you think? TIA

i had yeast a couple of days after surgery and my dr. said otc was fine but called in the diflucan anyways because it's easier. I would call just to be sure but I am thinking especially if you're cleared for everything else you should be ok. Just out of curiousity, did they test for bacterial infection? I didn't know you ran a fever with yeast. Good luck!

You're in a vicious cycle, sad to say. The antibiotics are causing the yeast infection; they kill the good bacteria. So the diflucan can only work until the antibiotics decide to kill the good work the diflucan has done.
If you can't get off the antibiotics, see if it's okay to douche lightly. Honest to goodness, taking plain yogurt and dilluting slightly with warmish water will replace the acidopholus you need to fight that nasty yeast.
I had yeast after surgery, as well. It's dreadful, and my heart goes out to you. Good luck, shaden3

I am so you are having so many issues right now. Sounds miserable!

I would ask your doctor what is best just to be safe. You don't want to accidently make things worse.
