Question about vaginal twinges/sharp nerve like pains almost 5 weeks post op?

Hi all!
I will be 5 weeks post op on Thursday. Today I woke up and about 8 times an hour I get this weird sharp jab in my vagina on the left side. It is like one of those sharp nerve ending pulsating jabs-- like shocks you for a sec then goes away. What could this be? I have been doing good, now this? This weekend I was more active than normal but I was told I could do stuff if it didn't hurt. I think I spent more time on my feet and in the car but it didn't hurt at the time. I am not sure this is even related. I did have a part of my bowel attatched to the left side of my abdomen--- it was adhered to it. I also had my left ovary removed. So there was extra work on the left side. It seems that it is weird the pain is in my actual vagina on the left side. Anyone else experience this? I had this a week or so ago in a different spot on my tummy and it went away. I guess I am sort of worried because I am thinking "oh no, this might not be norma." I had a robotic assisted vaginal hysterectomy (do not have stitches in my vagina except in the vaginal cuff and the pain is down lower... not up in the cuff area).

I have had this happen over the last week or so. I had the same sensation with mastectomy and reconstruction. It feels like neuropathy to me. Nerve endings making connection...healing process! My nurse also said that some women feel a "snap" like feeling on occasion and it could very well be dissolving stitches dissolving as new connective tissue does sort of a release. I too am post of 5 weeks on Thursday

So are our nerve endings messed with in the actual vagina? Like my sharp jab feels like it is one inch on up inside... TMI.... can nerves up at the cuff area cause such low jabs of pains?

yes we do have nerve endings in that area...a lot as a matter of fact. The pain could be radiating. Its sometimes hard to tell exactly where the pain originates. You prbably have some swelling and maybe even some inflamation. If it continues call the Dr. You may find that it is not doing that regularly. Seems to me there are really weird and crazy symptoms, pains and feelings that come and go..every day is different. I give issues 24-36 hours then call and ask. Provided it hasnt already been answered for me on this site. BTW: no such thing as TMI on this site! Hystersisters is a blessing. Hope you are feeling much better tomorrow Jennifer

Maybe I overdid it this weekend. I hope it's something simple. It totally makes sense that the pain could be radiating from a different area. I had read on another thread about someone who had symptoms like mine and there was an infection (it was on old thread so I didn't post on it). If anyone else has experienced this please post!!
