Metal instrument forgotten and left in from surgery over 3 weeks post-op

I was just wondering if anyone else has had a metal instrument forgotten and left in from surgery that was discovered later?? Mine was a metal instrument that was on top of my cervix, but forgotten about. Had to be removed from the opposite side of my cervix, and pulled through the cervix and vagina and then out....after cervix dilation and use of a tenanculum.

Yikes, that is a story none of us want to tell. I'm so sorry you had to deal with that on top of this whole experience. My prayers and hugs are sent to you!

I am glad they didn't have to open you up again to retrieve the instrument. Now you can finish up the business of recovery.

Happy healing!
