Pre-op complete; final countdown in progress!

After five hours between the doc and pre-op at the hospital, the pre-op appointments are now out of the way. Who would've thunk it?! It's not onto the final 1.5 weeks of waiting. I'm going to be SO busy during this time that I've no doubt May 8 will be here before I know it.

I learned today that all rooms at this particular castle are private and that I only have to remove polish from one fingernail and don't have to remove the acrylic overlay. I was happy about that small detail.

A heartfelt THANKS to ALL you Hystersisters. Because of this site and reading Sheila Martin's eBook, I felt well prepared for my visit with the GYN and the hospital. It left me feeling very in control, which I like. LOL! Thank you all for sharing your experiences!

Maxine

Pre-op complete; final countdown in progress!

I just posted a new thread telling everyone how my pre-op went today also. My took about 5 hours too but well worth not having to worry about it all on Monday morning at 5:30. Who can remember their last tetnus (spelled wrong I'm sure) that early in the morn. I'm glad it all went well for you maxine and you'll do fine P. My big advise is to write down all your questions you will forget some if you don't.

Pre-op complete; final countdown in progress!

I can remember my tetnus only because I had to have one last year. They don't call me Grace for nothing.

Wildcat you and I will be going in at the same time on the same day, we can do it!

Pre-op complete; final countdown in progress!

Reading through your posts reminds me how freaked out I was last year when I went through this!!! And it really, really will be ok!

Pelt your doctors with every question you think of until you feel "on the same page" with what they're telling you, get your house (and fridge) ready for your recuperation and try not to stress too much. The waiting and worrying beforehand really can be worse than the surgery and recovery are... I'm living proof!

Our thoughts and prayers are with you all!!
