After 5 c-sections

Has anyone had to have a hysterectomy after 3 or more caesarean sections?? I have had 5 sections,and after 6 years of menstrual problems and trying all the solutions they could muster, I've been told that hysterectomy is the only option.
The consultant told me (whilst performing my hysteroscopy) that I have multiple fibroids which keep recurring and causing me heavy bleeding and pain.
He also said that he would not be removing my cervix or ovaries as they were quite healthy, but said that the operation could be complicated if there were a lot of adhesions to the bladder and bowel due to the amount of caesareans I have had.
Has anyone else had the same experience?

I had two c-sections one child natural then another c-section with my twins.The only thing Dr said about it was I was not a candidate for vaginal surgery because there would be adhesions from my sections. He had not planned to go that was anyway because of cancer concerns and the size of my uterus.
