drove for the first time today

Im 2 1/2 weeks post. I drove to the bank and to visit at work. Came home and took a 2 hour nap. I hope Im ready for work in 2 weeks. Otherwise I feel pretty good. Im sleeping better. Have had a couple a hot flushes, and woke up a couple of times hot, not soaking the bed or anything. Ive been drinking 8 oz of soy milk and taking all kinds of minerals and vitamins. Vit e & c, flaxseed oil, b6, evening of primrose oil, magnesium, and selenium, calcium and multi and of course metamucil 2x a day. Im going to add vit a, also. And I swear by them. Ive been doing a lot of reading on hormones (read the books that hysters have recommended). I do have a question; am I concidered menopausal even though I kept my ovaries? I took black cohosh but I swear it made me gain weight and awlful stomach aches. So I cut that out. just very bored, still taking it easy not lifting or vacuming or shoveling and won't for a long while. Now I guess its dealing with normal fatigue, building up strength. Can't wait for sex!!!!!

Keep up the good routine

Hi, Lindalala!

Sounds like you are doing very well. I kept my ovaries and they are working at 6 weeks out. I don't think you are considered menopausal when you keep your ovaries. They may not work again right away. If there are problems, your doctor can help in the meantime. I felt hot and cold the first couple of weeks, but things evened out after that.

I struggled the most with inactivity and boredom. Spent a lot of time here at Hystersisters furthering my education! When I could get out of the house and walk, I felt better.

Please be patient with yourself and your recovery. The benefits of a good recovery are worth a little down time. I hope you will find things to do here and there.

Best wishes!

Cinderellen
