TAH 20 days post hysterectomy: Feeling nauseous

It has been exactly 20 days ago since the op and I have been doig quite well until Thursday when i develpped a cough which I managed to control with some cough linctus, on Sunday I developed a headache + nausea loss of appetite. All food doesn't taste nice and the other day I woke up with a cracked lip yet I drink lots of water. The headache goes from side of the head to the other and feels like it is connected to my stomach. Yesterday I took a slow 15 minutes walk(my second one since day 8) which got me feeling much better. I think I over did it coz I could not sleep from the pain kept having nightmares. When I woke up again today the nausea is back and the thought of pain killers makes me feel like puking thank God I havent.

I have a history of reflux disease, and everything has been so okay until now. Just wondering if this has anything to do with the op or I caught some bug.

I have had twinges of nausea and I am in week 5. Walking is good for you. It helps with everything! I am unsure if all your symptoms together could be from the surgery. I would call your doctor's office and inquire.

My first day back from the hospital I was so nasaeu that they called me in phenegan. I take every 6 to 8 hours and haven't had trouble since. Also sometimes pain meds are too strong. I cut back to one hydrocodone instead of two. If I need more I take the second one am hour later. Best wishes!!

Thank you, I have thought of going to the doc but the thought of more med just makes me sick. Anyway I will go and hear what the doc prescribes.
