Tension Headache After Surgery

Its been 1 week and I have suffered from a tension headache every day since surgery. I wake up fine but then around the afternoon it starts...first pain in the neck then the head and eyes. Most nights I am wide awake with the pain. I have tried hot and cold and ibu and excedrin and ultracet....nothing works.

I'm sorry to hear about the headaches. What does say? Sounds like migraines.

Oh boy I hope it is not hormonal headaches those are the worst, sounds like tension though if the pain is starting in the neck area, ask your doctor about Duradrin or Topamax I take both and they work really well.

My first 3 days after I got off morphine and was home, I woke up with horrible headaches that stayed all day long, even with Vicodin. 4th day they stopped. Yours don't go away with painkillers either? I thought maybe it was from coming off the I.V. and morphine. I would call your doctor and see what he says, maybe migraines or reaction to meds?
