LAVHBSO Feb 20th, now experience sharp pains

Hi,

I had a Lavh BSO on Feb. 20th. Surgery and Recovery has been great. Feel good. But for two days now I have been having pain in lower left side in the front and sometimes in the mid back region. No fever. But the pains are sharp and more intense as the days are going by.

Has anyone else experienced anything like this?

Re: LAVHBSO Feb 20th, now experience sharp pains

Hi
I also had my TAH on 20 Feb. I have the same pain in the right side of my navel and back. Its really intense after urination. Past 2 days I have been in bed and can't walk around the house. The pain has eased a bit today. I vowed to take it easy till I return to work. I think the internal stitches are healing.

Re: LAVHBSO Feb 20th, now experience sharp pains

During my 4th & 5th weeks I had similar pains. Sometimes sharp ones, then went through a while of menstrual like cramps (still have them at almost 6 weeks). Had some back aches as well. Thank goodness they wern't constant, more the come & go variety. Guess it's all part of the mending back together. Glad your feeling better now.
Happy Healing!

Re: LAVHBSO Feb 20th, now experience sharp pains

I was told by my OB that those are the nerves dying off. I was experiencing the same pain and thought for sure that I had a UTI or something else. I tested negative when they tested my urine. I am happy to say those pains have slowly gone away. I hope they do for you too! Just remember to take it easy and put your feet up every once in a while! Good luck!
