dVH/RALH feelin great, surgery this morn.

Well I had my surgery at 7am today and I am feeling pretty darn good!! Kept both ovaries, so no menopause. Hoping I feel as good at discharge time tomorrow! I hope all the sisters that had yours today are feeling well also! Xoxo

One tip, you don't want to get constipated! Lots of water, prunes and fiber cereal! Stay ahead of that and you'll be fine!!!

Thanks Liloo!!! I am nervous to get constipated, it's the worst when you hurt in your belly or down there. When was your surgery? And what kind? How are you feeling? I am nervous for dIscharge since I go home to my 2 and 3 year old kiddies.

Hi!! Oh, I know what you mean about being nervous! My husband took great care of me for the first 5 weeks...... Now that has worn off and he not doing as much anymore! I think when the incisions are healed, they think it's life as usual! I force myself to rest and don't really care if the laundry gets done like I did in the past! The basket was alway empty! So now he's in there back to doing the laundry! Lol..... I come first until I heal!!!

I had the davinci procedure back in late October. I feel great most of the time. If I do too much or don't rest as much, my stomach feels bloated and achy. Other than that, this has been easy!! Thank God!

My anti-constipation trick is this:
60-70 oz of water a day
4-5 prunes the night before
8oz of prune juice in the morning
Fiber cereal in the morning..... I love Fiber One 80 calories!
Coffee

You won't have any trouble at all!!!

Hi Renee!! Glad to hear that things went well for you, that's great!! I definitely wasn't up to posting on Wednesday (my surgery was about 11:30). It's great to see you over here! Looking forward to staying in touch as we both recover!
