Breast tenderness post-op 7 days, is this normal

I had a LH on May 25, 2012 and within the last 2 days my breast is feeling very tender as it did when I was PMSing. Is this normal?

Yes it definitely is, your hormones will be flying everywhere at the mo, and sore boobs is a sign of hormonal bursts x

I kept my overies and had my PMS systems right on time...sore breast and uncontrollable eating for 2 days! But thankfully no horrible bleeding for a whole week!!

I kept my uterus and thought I would not have any hormonal issues.

What did you have removed or done during your surgery? I had a DvH and had uterus and cervix removed. I kept my overies and still get PMS and all that good stuff.

I also had a DaVinci LH and my uterus and cervix removed. I guess I just thought if you kept your ovaries that there were no hormonal side effects. I guess I was wrong. I know without your uterus you go in to menopause. The tenderness and soreness in my breast is pretty much gone. I will keep my eyes out for it next month and see if the same thing happens.

Thanks so much for your feedback, it really helped.

If you have your overies removed you will go into menopause. If you have your uterus removed you do not have the monthly bleeding. Since you kept your overies you will continue to ovulate and have PMS symptoms. Some ladies on this site have reported their PMS is not as intense as before surgery.
