Going Nuts!

I thought I was all mentally prepared for the surgery Friday (TAH/BSO). I was scheduled at noon so I didn't need to be at the Castle until 10:30. I just got a call from the Dr and they rescheduled me for 8:30 am on Friday I have to be there at 6:30 am now. I feel like mentally I've taken 2 giants steps backwards. I am really nervous now. On top of that I started my period today and it's 2 days early. If it would have just waited until Saturday, it wouldn't have been. I have a massive stress headache and heavy bleeding and cramps will follow tomorrow. I'm a mess. I really thought I was ready. Guess I was wrong. Thanks for listening ladies, any ideas on how to relax the day before.

Good day to all!

I'm sorry!

Hi Teresa,

I'm sorry to hear your coronation has been postponed. That can be really frustrating to say the least. :hair:
You did not say why you were having the TAH/BSO but if it is for endo, it's actually easier for the Dr to see the endo when you have your period. I'm trying to look for a silver lining for you.

Soon, you won't have to worry about those pesky periods.
and you will be in recovery as the you were always meant to be.

Take care...everything will turn out ok.

4 hours earlier

Thank you for your reply. They actually changed my surgery to 4 hours earlier. I was going to use Friday morning to pamper myself and finish my mental prep. I'm having the surgery because of heavy bleeding and clotting, I become anemic most months. I also have had a history of ovarian cysts. My most current was just 4 weeks ago when they did a lap to decompress them

thanks again for the reply

Going Nuts!

Well, look at it this way: you can spend Friday morning sedated or unconscious instead! What could be more relaxing than that? (Okay, sometimes we have to stretch to find the bright side). Truly, nothing will relax you as much as being on the other side of the surgery. Good luck!

I can relate

Teresa
I am schedualed for TAH on Friday as well at 9:00am. And my period started early (yesterday) as well. I think stress has played a part in that one. Just think though....this is the last period, tee hee. Kinda makes you smile eh?
