Miss You All!

Hi Everyone!
I know I belong on the post-op board now that I am an official but sometimes I get to missing all of you guys and wonder how you are. My recovery is going fairly well, some pain but managed by percocet and rest. I went to the Mall today! Just a short trip with a little slow strolling and a visit to the coffee shop with DH but it did great for my spirits. I came home and took a long nap and feel fine.
I am at the just over 3 week point and sometimes feel the blues creepin in and cry for no reason. Anyone else? I am on Premarin 1.25 and am going to
talk to DD about it at next visit. Actually though I can't complain. With all the support from you guys I feel I have made it through the worse part and the rest of the bumps in the road can be leveled out as I go.
Well, just wanted to say howdy and wish all you ladies in waiting the best. It truly will be OK just like all the sisters say
Lots of s

Miss You All!

Hi Spice, Welcome Home and So glad to hear you are doing so good!! Just remember you still have to take it easy and dont over do it!! I kept both of my Ovaries after my TAH, and I still had days of crying for no reason I think it is just the shock our bodies go through after major Surgery!! Since then, I have had to have my right ovary removed, and I did cry again for a few days, but it went away, and it does get better!!! So take care of yourself and take it easy!!

I also had the weepies...I think most of us do! Between the stress of waiting, the surgery itself, the huge shock to our systems, the hormones, and then trying to rest and do nothing, of course we're gonna be emotional!

It's perfectly normal to have ups and downs. It's good that you got out a bit, and went for a nice walk...a change of scenery can help alot.

And do mention it to your doctor at your visit...just to keep him/her in the loop. Their job is to care for the whole person, not just the bottom half, so let them in on anything that's happening.

It sounds like you're doing just great...keep up the good work!! Wishing you peaceful healing!!
