What direction were you rolling in? I was able to sleep on my side right away after surgery, but if I wanted to change sides, I had to be careful to roll from one side onto my back and then onto the other side. If I forgot and attempted to roll from one side onto my belly and then onto the other side... OUCH!

I was laying on my left side and went to turn over by going on my stomach and over to my right side. Not smart on my part but then again I was half asleep.

Re: Swollen tummy caused by tossing and turning

No one's responsible for what they're doing when they're half asleep. I certainly wouldn't want to be held responsible for some of the things I've *said* in that condition! *grin*

But look at this way: your body did exactly what it was supposed to do. It sent a good, sharp pain along your nerves to wake you and stop you from moving further in a way that you weren't ready to move yet.

If your experience turns out to be like mine, then you'll be able to do belly rolls in another week or two.

Re: Swollen tummy caused by tossing and turning

I used a small pillow last night. Made me too sweaty. (The house isn't properly cooled) I am going to sleep with the binder on tonight.
