Post Op 13 days menopause strikes....

I am so weepy I honestly dont know what to do.... The sweats and hot flashes are sudden and starting to get real old really quick... not getting much support fr hubby he sounds as frustrated as i feel.... I am still sore and stiff from TAH everything gone.... I am sad.... I cry alot..... i find i am actually able to sleep but now it is in overdrive I find myself sleeping most of the day.... My sisters really dont know what to say or do to help or whatever I tell them its ok i dont expect them to understand since they still have all their lady junk lol...... i beat my mother and mother in law to menopause.... so no knowledge there.... find myself wanting to sleep more and not much of an appetite.... is this all normal calling doc tomorrow to see what this all is and if there is anything that can be done like HRT or alternative medicine..... losing my mind here lol...

i hear exactly what you're going thu becksm. it's hard and it comes out of nowhere. hopefully you're a candidate for estrogen gel or other. it's helped me a lot.i didn't leave the hospital with the hormones but after about 3 weeks, i was a nightmare. i felt like kujo one minute and a sweaty, crying mess the next. men have no idea but i must say my bf is really understanding. maybe if he hears it from directly from doc that this is normal after MAJOR surgery. doc immediately understood so call your doc. they'll help, and good luck sista.

i certainly hope so and ty i am at wits end with it all its so overwhelming the thing is do i go to my ob/gyn that did the surgery or do i see family doctor?

Sorry you're dealing with this so early. I haven't had any symptoms yet. Thank God. A hot flash every now and then. My dr said at 47, I was in menopause before OP. Currently no HRT.

I would start with my gyn about HRT first, and see if she directs you to your PCP. Blessings!
