And so it begins

Well, girls, I just drank the most nasty stuff in the world. Fleet Phospho-soda mixed with white cranberry stuff. YUCK! This stuff has 5,004 mg of salt. I thought it tasted like drinking out of the salt shaker.

Just sent my kids off to the mother-in-laws. I picked up one of my boys and thought this is the last time I would be picking him up for quite a while.

Tomorrow is the big day. A little anxious, but not to bad really. Surprisingly not bad at all. Hope it continues into tomorrow.

For all my other surgery buddies tomorrow. I'll be thinking of you.

Me too. I drank my stuff at 2:00 pm and HAVEN"T GONE YET!!!!
I am so miserable...it's now 6:00 pm...... I am still full from all of the water after.....it's uncomfortable if I lay down and sit up.
My LSH is tomorrow. I have to be at the hospital at 12 noon. I still haven't decided if I am keeping one ovary or not...I think i'm driving the Dr. nuts....

Yep, sounds like yummy stuff.

Understood about "picking him up the last time for a long time" I'm not there yet, but be brave sister. Pretty soon you will be feeling well, and doing things again. Do you remember the days when you actually had no sysmptoms and felt normal? Well, that's what you're doing this for. You will be post-op and posting here before you know it. You're only problem then will be trying to

Lots of hugs and positive energy,
lisandboo

Oops, just saw yours, LiaBak. I hear if you lay on your right side, things "move along" faster. See you at post-op!

LiaBak,

I thought this stuff was suppose to work in one hour. I didn't have any trouble drinking the water afterwards. All that sodium, I guess. I downed a 12oz. jug of water and thinking about getting another one. Do you have to take the pills. I have to do the Fleet Prep Kit 2. Get to drink the Phospho-soda at 5 then the 4 little pills at 7. Lots of clear liquids in-between. And if I don't think I'm cleaned out good enought. I get to do a enema in the morning.

Lisandboo,

Ya' know, I can't remember the last time that I felt really good. I know that I'm doing the right thing. Scary, but feeling kind-of good about it all. I can see the light at the tunnel now.

Dread the gas.

Hey poohbear, I'll be thinking of ya' tomorrow. Look out here we come.

Ah yes, the lovely colon cocktail. Not exactly a chocolate martini now is it? I can't stand that stuff either. I feel for you guys. And
the last time I took one of those it was HOURS before anything moved. All that talk from the nurses about being close to the bathroom. Uh huh. But after a few hours it was "down hill".
But I guess there was 1 silver lining. In the path report the dr.
noted, "the quality of the prep was excellent, absolute textbook
quality." Gee thanks. Do I get a gold star for that?

I hope I made ya laugh. Good luck to you alll.

Yes dwellhay, you will remember what it's like to feel good and have energy. And I don't know about you, but lately I keep hearing "you look sick" or "are you ok?" or something like that... I didn't think I looked THAT bad... obviously I do. Well, off I go April 12th and I'm glad of it! Toast to all you March23rd'ers I wish I was you - I would be post-op sooner!!!

Good luck y'all, I wish I was still with you tomorrow, but I'm not that far behind you. Take care and I'll say a prayer for you.

Wishing you sweet dreams, wonderful nurses, and an uneventful recovery.
