Hemorrhoids after TAH?

Hello, I am a newbie. On November 9th, I had a TAH. Did anyone have issues with Hemorrhoids after? i have not been straining and I am trying to watch how long I sit.

OMG... I had hemorroids that were so big it looked like i had testicles between my buttcheeks.. YIKES!!!! I used a lot of medicated pads and hemorroid cream for them and they eventually went away... But yes, I did experience this too... Good luck to you.. Oh and call your doctor cause the prescription stuff works much better than the over the counter stuff.. TRUST ME!!!

Oh God yes! Before and after. You poor thing! Definitely call the doc. Depending on what kind you have, go for the RX suppositories (yuck but it sure works), cream, and maybe even pain pills. If it's really bad those gelly ice packs wrapped in a thin towel help too. Best of luck.

Yes, true the suppositories work good.. I had one of the nurses come in my room the second round in the Castle and put one of those things in my rear, and lets just say she ran for her life, cause I was pretty MAD, it hurt, but yes, it worked!

If you get the cream and the evil sups you can do the cream first and it lubes the "entry area". Learned that the hard way. Ouch! Nurses aren't always the most gentle creatures either!

Ow! All this sounds terrifying! I had haemorroids before my op and thought they might just go away after the deed was done, but no such luck. Tried creams in the past but was put off by the awful smell these creams seem to have and it didn't work that well either. So just put up with them.

Still dealing with this issue, it is becoming quite frustrating and can't wait to be rid of it!!!!

Absolutely the best is the prescription stuff from the doc--either your GP or GYN can prescribe. I highly reccomend getting both the suppositories AND cream. Tucks pads help too. Also soaking your booty in Epsom salt water. (This is sometimes in the laxative dept., sometimes in the dept. with ace bandages and stuff for sore muscles.) Now that I think of it... those soaks help A LOT and Epsom salt is cheap.
