New bleeding 11 weeks post-op

I had my 'lash' on Sep 9th - ovaries and cervix left intact.

A week ago I had some bright red bleeding, now I hope this doesn't make be sound stupid but - I guess I thought it was from a 'pile' I've had for YEARS... a bit worrying as there was actually blood in the toilet, not just when I wiped. I soon realised that it wasn't from the pile. I've continued to have some brownish discharge (only when I wipe) with the occasional pink spot. 2 days ago I developed really bad back pain, low down, which I initially put down to vacuuming my gran's stairs. I've had a little twinge or 2 in my groin area, so have wondered if the back pain was gynae related.

So, after sex this evening (sorry for tmi!) there was bright red blood again! The back pain has also returned.

I also noticed I smelled really bad after sex last week (sorry, again).

Could this be granulation? I've been reading other posts but am confused/not sure because my cervix was left alone and no vaginal cuff repair or anything. Any advice or thoughts would be greatly appreciated, and I'm sorry if I sound useless!

Thanks

Angel

Could this be a mini-period? I would suggest you call your doctor just to make sure it isn't some kind of infection especially if there is a bad odour.

wanted to let you know i read your post and don't really know anything about this and while it could be a mini period it sounds like much more, i would definitely put a call in to your doctor, better to be safe than sorry

Re: New bleeding 11 weeks post-op

Thank you, ladies. I will see how it goes for a couple more days then call the doctor if it doesn't settle down.

My surgeon did say that around 6% of women still get cyclical 'spotting' from the top of the cervix if it's left intact, so that's probably me! I have had problems with one of my incisions - it kept opening up a little and there was bacteria detected (gp was happy for me to see how it went because I HATE antibiotics) so I know I should get it checked. The scar is fine now, but you know how our minds run wild, I've been imaging the bacteria now being trapped inside and multiplying! So the idea of granulation seemed like the better option...
