Still feeling pain, 3 weeks, am I a baby?

Had daVinci a little over 3 weeks ago. Took uterus, cervex and RO wich had 2 very large cysts which were Very uncomfortable. My incision spots are now almost nonexistant. Problem is I still have pain where my RO used to be, like needles or as if I can actually feel the cut.
Am I being a baby about this, should I just realize it's going to be uncomfortable...anyone else having pain at 3+ weeks?

Still feeling pain, 3 weeks, am I a baby?

im a lil over 4 wks lavh kept ovaries and still have pain, takn 600mg advil every 6 hrs & 3hrs later take 2 xtra strength tylenol & take that every 6 hrs, i use an ice pack where i hurt and i am down alot, my doc said recovery is 6 wks & expect 2b down & resting so thats what i do, i think the hardest thing for me is i had expectations of gradually feeling better as days progressed, not a rollercoaste type recovery, id say only week 2 was a good week for me, i stayed with my parents a week after surgery & ive been back with them since last sunday, i am not a baby, u r not a baby, i thought id recover quickly & b a poster child for hysterectomy, not! i have called the dr. a blazillion times with concerns & ?s, i am working on bein kind & patient with myself, key word is working on it, take care of u sista!

Re: Still feeling pain, 3 weeks, am I a baby?

My surgery was 12/14 and I am having pain still. In fact, while it is better than week 1, I think it is worse than week 2. Especially if I try to do too much.

Nope you are absolutly not a baby! I had TAH on 16 th Dec and at times am feeling pretty yuck pain wise. This week seems worst than last week, take it easy rest, read a book and look after yourself ;-)

Re: Still feeling pain, 3 weeks, am I a baby?

That's right 6 weeks of down time and then keep in mind at six weeks you are not magically 100%. Three weeks really isn't that far from surgery. While I feel so much better than week 1 and 2, I still have pain, still have issues going on, and still need a lot of rest. I try to be up a lot and it just wears me down. Just take meds if you need them, rest, relax, and take care of yourself, and don't feel like you are a baby -you just had major surgery!

Re: Still feeling pain, 3 weeks, am I a baby?

OK I posted this earlier when I was at work. Actually I was feeling pretty well, came home and did stuff (stuff I wasn't suppose to be doing, but have) ..when I ran the vacuum I got this shooting, stabbing pain very low on my right side. It's now 4 hours later and I am scared. When I move it's stabbing pain, anyone have any idea? I am wondering if I ripped something.
I am suppose to work tomorrow and my surgeon is on vacation. Should I call my PCP?

Re: Still feeling pain, 3 weeks, am I a baby?

I am so glad to read this. I am 3 weeks post op and had a TVH, and now I am having pains on the right side, where it all began. I was trying to deny the pains, but they come more and more. Can things you eat cause pain as well? I love spicy food and peppers.
