just had daVinci full hysterectomy this morning

I was scheduled for 7:30 am, was back in recovery at 10:15, was taken to my room, must be honest there is some pain but the hospital does great in begging ease it. It is now 4:10 and I just walked up and down the hall twice, felt like I did a powerful ab workout. I have five tiny incisions on my belly, the one above the navel bled a little but all is good! I am amazed how much better I feel already. My uterus was swelled the size of a 3 month preg woman and now its back to normal!! & I'm feeling just fine! I just wanted to share this bc I myself was so nervous going into this, but to me I had nothing to worry about! Have a great Friday!

Great news! Remember not to overdo it because you are feeling so well. It is still important to pamper yourself and let others do things for you. I hope you continue to feel great and are able to go home soon. Best wishes!

Sounds like you are doing great! I had my surgery last Friday at noon and never got out of bed for 24hrs..and you are up and walking and on hyster sisters posting within hours! Good for you! Hope you continue to recover this well.

Thank you all. To me it feels like I did a major ab workout, to me is not to bad but everyone pain tolerance and healing is different. Best wishes to you all also!

Glad to know that you're doing good! However, take it easy and please keep your hands wash and make sure that everyone who comes in contact with you clean their hands especially when coming and going from your room..early precautions
