A myomectomy is removal of fibroids from the uterus - the uterus is "repaired" and not removed.

A 26 week uterus means that it is the size of a 26 week pregancy. When you have fibroids, the gyns typically speak about the size of your uterus in terms of weeks pregnant. Hope this helps.

Yes thank you. That is amazing how big it can get. I can imagine relief once it is taken out. That is horrible that women have to suffer with that.
