Day 1 post-op -made it through - hope everyone else is doing well

I made it through the surgery but I did not go quite as I expected.

I thought they might have to cancel the surgery! The night before, I did the bowel prep as my surgery wasnt until 2 PM the next day. I weigh 112 lbs and I believe that was too much fluid for me. I was up until 5 AM the day of the surgery vomiting. It was absolutely terrible. My pulse was 105 and I think I had a fever. Has anyone else experienced this with bowel prep?

I called in the AM and they said as long as I stopped vomiting to come on in for the surgery. It was amazing how quickly I did recover, but by the time of the surgery, I was very dehydrated from the vomiting and not being allowed to drink.

I was surprised when I woke up how much pain I had. With the pain meds, it's under control and I'm surprised at how well I am doing!

Anyway, I hope everyone else who is post-op is recovering well!
