all of the sudden- Bleeding 9 days post hysterectomy

I'm only freaked out by this sudden bleeding because I haven't had any PO bleeding until now- day 9.

I'm so tired of the gas, bloating, and nausea! I quit taking pain killers a few days in because they make me feel sick, but I've tried again tonight because I'm in a little bit of pain.

I'd love some reassurance that this is "normal".

Thanks for all you do, ladies!

Anne,
I could have written the title of your post. In fact, spotting at 9 days is what led me to this site.
I called my doctor and felt reassured. I've since read a bunch of posts describing spotting from about day 9.
Take care

Yes! I had very scant amounts after surgery and I think it was 4 weeks later I had a terrible pinching sensation with s small "gush" of bloody fluid that scared me to death!! Called my Dr office, they assured me that long as it doesn't soak a pad an hour it's normal. Later in the office my Dr explained there are minute spaces between our stitches in the cuff that old blood or air can escape through. She said "it's better out than trapped in". I hope you are feeling better. I'm still having scant amounts of discharge on a panty liner and I'm 7 weeks out tomorrow. Good luck!

This makes me feel better! I started spotting yesterday at day 9 and mid day today thought it had passed and tonight after trying to move around some I'm back to spotting again. It's bright red versus the pink I've had. I was a little terrified. I'm no where near soaking my minipad though

Thank you ladies! What a relief to know that this is a common issue. I always assume that if something's wrong, it will be obvious- extreme pain, high fever, etc. But you know, when something changes suddenly, it's hard not to worry! xoxo
