A little over 3 weeks till TAH

I'm just about 3 weeks away from my TAH and I am starting to freak out. I can't sleep and I am starting to second guess myself. I know this is probably normal but I still can't shake the feeling.

Hi Jeannie!

I had the same feelings in the weeks before my surgery. It's a nerve-wracking time for many of us. If your anxiety increases and you continue to lose sleep, you may want to check with your doctor to see if you can get a prescription for a medication to help. That's what I did...and I'm glad I did!

I am scheduled on the same day as you and I can honestly say I know exactly what you are feeling. This weekend I was up at 3 AM because I couldn't sleep, thinking about my operation. I think it is perfectly normal that we feel this way. I tried drinking a herbal tea and that helped some. I find myself being teary eyed at the slightest thing, and forgeting things.

Hi same day here, I am beginning to wonder if the reason I am so exhausted all the time is because I am interrupted in sleep constantly, between goofy dreams pertaining to the surgery and my bladder. I feel what you are saying I am probably more strung out than I am letting on. I guess it is normal to feel this way at this point, I hope anyway. Good luck and prayers to all.

I hear what you are saying since I'm in the same boat since I have my surgery three weeks from today.
I am having a hard time sleeping too.
