uae and periods

i just wondered how Uterine artery embolization affects periods if at all as i have always had heavy , painful ones even before fibroids.

I had UAE in July of 2010. I used to have very heavy, painful periods due to many fibroids of various sizes. My periods are now light and cramping is minimal. I'm quite happy with the results
