So four days out and I start my period...complete with cramps and I'm not allowed to take any Motrin.

Been there too! Just think, you'll get the last laugh in just a few days!
In the meantime, has your dr. said you can take Tylenol? Try hot packs you microwave or baths with Epsom Salts.
Best wishes for an uneventful surgery and a smooth recovery!

Awww I'm sorry. Mine came the night before my surgery. Just keep thinking....."This is my last visit with Aunt Flo, the surgeon is going to escort her out of my life forever " I know it doesn't help the pain for now, but it might help you feel like you are about to get control of your life again.
