Anyone with a Bartholin Abscess?

Update again. Well my drain fell out the next day, my face was burned and I had blisters on my face from the antibiotic reaction. Called Dr. and discontinued all antibiotics - started on a new one - which is working. My poor husband has to pack the abscess each day with gauze strips. Yipee! Went back to the Dr. again today for a check up - will continue to pack wound until It can't be done any longer - then it should be healed. If it flares up again of starts to swell then they will surgically remove the gland. It appears now that it is truly a Bartholin gland problem. Doctor said still have some weeks for the cuff to heal - has been about 6 weeks now. I went ahead and went to the coast and stayed at the bed and breakfast - it was beautiful and we had so much fun, it was warm and sunny. It was a nice break for my husband - well kind of? I'm so looking forward to getting better - I'm suppose to start a new job on the 22nd. Thanks for reading - take care - Lori
