3 weeks post hysterectomy: Missing sex how do you cope ?

I'm seem to be in the minority here, but no. Sex has not been on my mind. At all.

I don't feel anywhere near good enough to even think about it. And if my husband is interested, he hasn't said anything to me.

We both know that there is no way for at least another 3 weeks. And that is only if I am released at the 6 week mark.

So glad someone asked......my dr here in Taiwan is conservative! No driving for a month! Blah! Poor dh is feeling a bit needy and well, missing the fun

I'm so glad I'm not the only one trying to deal with this!! I'm 11 days post op and feel pretty good. Other than heavy lifting and sex, "life" seems back to normal. I was worried about decreased libido after hyst, then read this could just be a temporary surge, but I really hope I'm still getting these surges once cleared at 8 weeks! I just don't know how we'll make it through to 8 weeks! I was hoping for a miracle answer when I saw this post, lol! I do know vaginal penetration is definitely off limits for cuff healing purposes! Almost 5 weeks and not only chomping at the bit but just about **** near ready to chew through it! My partner is feeling the pain to but seems just as nervous, if not more so, than I am. (Why he ever watched a video of the surgery is beyond me!!) Haven't tried outer course yet but starting to think it's a good idea if I don't get cleared next week! I know exactly what you mean about the dreams and the preoccupation....it's driving me nuts! If I didn't have such a phobia about rupturing my cuff, I'd be all over him Good luck getting through the next few weeks....it sucks!
