4 months out and spotting

Sisters,

Help. I had a supercervical hyster with both ovaries removed. At first I felt great, then meno symptoms kicked a little, but overall I am feeling well except for spotting. At about 2 months out I had a bad bout of IBS and between rectal bleeding(TMI) and stomach pains I really didn't feel like I was spotting. But eventually I realized some of the spotting was vaginal. Called the doc and told to keep an eye on it. Every once in a while I would see a little spot of pink. About a month ago more spotting so since I was itching I started monistat thinking yeast. After 12 days on that I called the MD and mad an appt since I did have some pink discharge. Saw him Wed and he saw no bleeding but said it probably was a bacterial infection, saw no blood during the exam and put me on Metrogel. Suggested down the road maybe an estrogen cream a couple times a week for dryness. Felt better when I started the med. Today is day 3 and 2 more to go with Metrogel. Today there was more vaginal spotting than I have had since surgery and some itching and burning. Anyone else have these problems. I am sorry if I am rambling but after 2 and half years of bleeding almost every day, I am sick of it! I thought the hyster would end it all. I have never had a vaginal infection where bleeding occured. Thanks to hyster systers for giving me a place to ramble and vent!

Sounds like the medicine isn't helping. It really does sound like vaginal dryness could be your problem. I think you need to call the dr back and let him know this isn't helping and the bleeding is worse.
There are other causes of bleeding this far out, but your symptoms sound like dryness. The dr would have seen granulation.
There is an artilce on Vaginal Dryness that might help give you some info on your options. I hope you get some answers soon. Let us know what you find out.
