Not exactly a swelly belly...

I had my LSH on Monday, Dec 6 and although my upper abdomen isn't swollen much, the area around my pubic bone is! It's reminds me of a water balloon, it actually jiggles when I move around. There isn't much pain, but it's definitely a unique sensation. I call it a Puffy P*#%y. Anyone else have this sort of swelling?

Re: Not exactly a swelly belly...

Thats so funny. When I was looking into tummy tuck they call that the ken doll. I didn't get my tummy tuck but, I was such a baby I don't know about every going threw anything like this again my hospital stay was rough. I had a AH. Big fiborids all that good junk basketball size utreus. DH thinks it just wasn't meant for me to have all that at one time. I to scared to have tummy tuck now. Maybe later one day at a time.

Can't wait to tell DH my new Nick Name

Mine was swollen big time for about three weeks. I thought for a while I had turned into a man - lol. I am six week out and it still swells towards the end of the day if I sit too long.

I like the Ken doll reference, it does remind me of that! It might keep my DH's desire at bay until the MD gives us the go-ahead (LOL) But three weeks? Ugh. It's not pretty.

Re: Not exactly a swelly belly...

I have found that when swollen, a few minutes with a bag of frozen peas works WONDERS. I think the tissue in the whole area just gets aggravated. Hope the veggies help!

Re: Not exactly a swelly belly...

Ah, yes. I do have that problem too, although not the extent you do.
I've been using heat, though because the heat feels fabulous.

Maybe I should switch to the frozen peas.
Puffy P*#%y is hilarious...just not when it's yours!!

Re: Not exactly a swelly belly...

Glad to hear I'm not the only one. My belly still looks huge to me and I'm 16 days post-op TVH. Anyone have any idea about when swelly belly should be diminishing???
