week six is around the coner and anxity has kicked in

Hi again ladies
when i was at my 2 week post op doc said at six weeks DH and I could resume to have our sex life back. DH had to ask I just wanted to skip that part .

I need some advice here what do i need to avoid or look out for im so nervous you would think i was 16 or something but its not letting me sleep i have lost my appettite complettly plus what if its not a pleasent experiance AHHHHHHHH and DH is counting days with a smile oh my goodness think i will have to go for a very long

The things I read on this board which helped me to ease back into it was: relaxing in a bubble bath, opeing a bottle of wine, soft music in the background. Things that are relaxing and make you feel good. Just take things slow and easy....oh yes, have some lube on hand in case it's needed. All the best, Princess!

You could always try it by yourself first to see if you have any pain or discomfort. Use lots of lube and take it at your own pace. I'm sure it will be fine.

Remember that when your doctor releases you to resume normal activities, you don't have to do anything until you feel ready. The applies to sex as well as vacuuming. Chances are your husband will be nervous too. Mine was! We did wait longer than the the six week point and all went just fine when we did resume that part of our life.

Let your husband know your concerns and resume this part of your post-op life when it's right for both of you.
