Spotting a little
Ladies, I have begun spotting since day9 post-op. Not much on a pad, but red when I wipe after using the restroom. Is that the internal stitches disolving or have I done a bit to much? How much bleeding is normal?

Re: Spotting a little
It is normal to see some spotting and or discharge for 6-8 weeks. If you are soaking a pad in an hr or less or if it resembles period type bleeding or you are passing clots call dr and or head to ER. A lot of ladies have found that spotting picks up when your activity picks up. So put your feet up, relax and it should calm down.

Re: Spotting a little
I had some light bleeding 16-18 days post op. When I called the Dr she said to lie down. I did and it stopped. I also had the pink spot on the toilet tissue many times. Take the advice above, though, and get help if it gets heavy.

Re: Spotting a little
Your uterus and tubes are gone but you had internal surgery so just like a cut on the outer part of your body it has to heal you just don’t get to see how it is healing only feel it and see blood. You have over 100 stitches inside you don’t see. I was told as it heals you will just spot but like the other post if it really heavy like a period then you have to go to the ER but just a little pink on toilet paper was normal.
