4 Months Post Op & More Problems - Help!

This week I will be 4 months post LAVH. Since week 1 I have had pain in the top of the vagina pushing into the bowel. At six weeks check up I was told that this would improve but here we are 4 months almost! Went to gyno again on Friday and had a very painful vaginal ultrasound and internal. Right ovary looked good and the left ovary wasn't fully visible because of bowel shadows. The pain around the left ovary was excruciating! I still had some internal stitches and some were removed which of course caused bleeding. Now the gyno is sending me for a colonoscopy and has started me on oestrogen cream (HRT)! It is painful to sit and it is a dull pain constantly that increases as the day progresses. Has anyone else had anything similar?

I am very worried.

Ashanti- It sounds like your doctor is trying to find the source of your pain, which is half the battle. I am so glad that you found a doctor willing to listen. I'm alittle confused about starting HRT for ovary pain (do you think you could be entering menopause?sorry don't know your age). It could be adhesions or its possible since he was unable to get a good view of the left ovary that it has cysts. Best of luck to you. I hope that they are able to find the source of your pain and correct it!
