odd question but still need an answer please!

Ok so my question is..... When is it ok to bend over to pick stuff up off the floor? I know nothing over 10lbs, But I suffer from perpetual clumsiness... I drop everything! thankfully never my children on there heads! lol but for sure everything else! it has seemed to get worse after VH, well probably seems like it! So anyway when can I pick stuff up that I drop? I am 3 weeks tomorrow!

Re: odd question but still need an answer please!

I would say when you drop things to bend your knees and squawt down to pick it up. Kinda like when your were prego and had a big belly in the way. I am in no way a medical professional, this is just my opinion. To be on the safe side ask your doc.
Take care I hope this helped at least a bit

Re: odd question but still need an answer please!

I did the squat maneuver as well. It certainly made it a lot easier.

Re: odd question but still need an answer please!

I was told not to squat because you can tear your vaginal cuff if you have one. That is the reason why I was not released to work at 2 weeks but at 4.

Re: odd question but still need an answer please!

I'm 3.5 weeks out. My Drs only restrictions are Nothing in my vagina and no lifting over 10lbs. I bend over sloooooowly and carefully to pick things up.

Re: odd question but still need an answer please!

I got the pick up tool very cheap at the store. I was told not to bend over at all because of the vaginal cuff.

Re: odd question but still need an answer please!

Hi Westen! I was told not to squat because it would tear internal stitches. Use a grab tool, like the other poster said or get a small stool and sit on that to reach the floor. Take good care of yourself - you will be feeling better soon!
