Pre Op exam soon, but I have PN
Hi all, I'm about to receive my Pre Op exam in a few hours. I wrote down many questions to ask the Dr. However, I have peripheral nueropathy. I was diagnosis 8 years ago. My calves have atrophied. I'm about to get a pre op exam for a hysterectomy (laparoscopic) in a few hours and set the surgery date. Last year my previous gyno told me not to get one because of my PN. Now, a new gyno says yes to surgery and it will be ok. I'm reading around that a hysterectomy can give PN. I thought omg, I don't need to be worse.
Has anyone have a hysterectomy that had PN before? How are you doing or feeling?
Any tips or help will help.

Hi Stricky
I am so sorry you are dealing with this. I wish I could answer your question, but I cannot.
We have many women on this site, hopefully someone with experience with this will see this post and respond.

Re: Pre Op exam soon, but I have PN
Hi Marestail, thanks for reply. Ok, I spoke with gyno and again he said I would be fine. We will see - and I will make sure I post how I'm doing so others will know the outcome. He set the date for July 1st...but told me he is going to get a hold of scheduling for June 10Th, because that's when I had planned to have this done (work schedule).
